The Integrity testing of equipment elements and systems to ensure
that they have been constructed and installed in accordance with design
drawings and specifications and meet the specified requirements.
Unit is essentially complete for start-up operation and test run.
All major work is completed. Minor work not interfering with operation
may not be completed, such as punch list and minor touch-up work.
Mechanical Completion is an integral process of management verification
of approved design installation. It represents the interface between
construction and commissioning group activities and includes all interface
checks between all systems and subsystems whether modular or plant wide.
Mechanical Completion verification confirms that construction and installation
of equipment, piping, instrumentation, cabling, electrical, telecoms
and mechanical components are physically complete and all inspections,
testing and documentation requirements have been completed.
